Welcome to BorderGuide. By downloading, installing, or using the BorderGuide mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BorderGuide, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BorderGuide is a relocation intelligence platform that provides information, AI-assisted planning, and guidance to individuals exploring international relocation. Our Service includes, but is not limited to:

  • Country and city relocation insights (visa requirements, cost of living, climate, etc.)
  • AI-powered relocation planning assistance
  • Subscription-based premium features for in-depth guidance
  • Document storage and trip planning tools

Information provided through the Service is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or immigration advice.

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

BorderGuide offers auto-renewable subscriptions that provide access to premium features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Subscription length and price: Subscription details, including the length of the subscription period and the applicable price, are clearly displayed in the app at the time of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.
  • No refunds: Unused portions of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple's standard refund policy.

All In-App Purchases are processed exclusively by Apple and are subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

4. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
  • Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or resell any part of the Service without our express written permission

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are owned by BorderGuide and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Relocation information is provided for general guidance only; always verify requirements with official government sources.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BorderGuide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
